Energy Dialogues
INDIA - AUSTRALIA

The India – Australia Energy Dialogue was established following the visit of the then Australian Prime Minister Ms. Julia Gillard to India in October, 2012. The Energy Dialogue, led by the MoP, was institutionalized to discuss areas of mutual interest in energy security and key issues in India and Australia's energy markets, as well as regional and globe trends, and developments in both countries. The 5th India – Australia Energy Dialogue was held on 16th October, 2025 in New Delhi. The dialogue was co-chaired by Shri Manohar Lal, Hon’ble Minister for Power and Housing & Urban Affairs, Government of India, and Mr. Chris Bowen MP, Hon’ble Minister for Climate Change and Energy, Commonwealth Government of Australia.
INDIA- JAPAN

The cooperation with Japan in the energy sector is steered under the Indo – Japan Energy Dialogue. This Dialogue is led by the Ministry of Power. There are four Joint Working Groups (JWG) under the India – Japan Energy Dialogue namely: 1) Electricity & Energy Conservation, 2) Coal, 3) Renewable Energy and Hydrogen, 4) Petroleum and Natural Gas The 11th Japan – India Energy Dialogue was held on 25th August, 2025 through VC. The dialogue was co-chaired by Mr. Muto Yoji, Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI) of Japan, and Shri Manohar Lal, Hon’ble Minister of Power and Housing & Urban Affairs of India.
INDIA- UNITED KINGDOM
Cooperation between the Government of the Republic of India and the Government of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland in the energy sector is guided by the MoU on "Co- operation in the Energy Sector", which was signed on 11th November, 2015 and renewed in 2020. The 4th India-UK Energy Dialogue was held on 10th February, 2025 in New Delhi and was co-chaired by Shri Manohar Lal, Hon'ble Minister of Power and Housing and Urban Affairs, and Rt. Hon. Ed Miliband, Secretary of State for the Department of Energy Security and Net Zero, United Kingdom. During the Dialogue, the Ministers announced the launch of Phase-2 of the India-UK bilateral Accelerating Smart Power & Renewable Energy in India (ASPIRE) programme. To support this initiative, they also announced the continuation of Phase-3 of the Power Sector Reforms programme under the UK Partnering for Accelerating Climate Change (UK PACT) framework.
